Hotels in Ahmedabad.

We will be using 8 different hotels around Ahmedabad.  People paying their own costs will be expected to pay the entire bill on departure.  Those staying at IFWEA cost will only need to pay extra charges such as telephone bills and room service costs.  For meal expenses, see below.

Food
The people of Ahmedabad enjoy rich culinary traditions.  There are many excellent restaurants, which serve a wide array of Indian and international cuisines. Most serve only vegetarian food, as a strong tradition of vegetarianism is maintained by the city's Jain and Hindu communities. We will provide you with details of local restaurants so that you have a choice of where to eat in the evenings.  You will be provided with breakfast at your hotel, and lunch at the conference venue.  Participants will need to make their own arrangements for dinner each evening.  We will provide you with details of local restaurants for information, or you may choose another place to eat.  The price of an evening meal in Ahmedabad is around 250 Indian Rupees - $6.50 US Dollars or £3.00 GB Pounds.  This is not covered by the conference fee, although participants who have applied for financial assistance will receive a set cash sum to cover this expense.
