A Workers' Educators' Manual for Global Education |
|
|
An
exciting, new and innovative approach to workers' education specifically
aimed at those directly involved in delivering education. Of
interest to a wide range of organisations including international trade
unions, local trade unions, adult education providers, and labour
service NGOs. International
Study Circles (ISCs) bring together people in different countries in a
common education programme. Using the Internet, local groups exchange
experiences and information on issues related to globalisation. Active
learning methods ensure a democratic and participatory approach to the
global learning process. This
manual was produced by the Workers' Education Association (England and
Scotland) in partnership with the International Federation of Workers'
Education Associations (IFWEA). It provides practical guidelines and
activities on how to implement ISCs, drawing on past experiences. No
fixed rules regarding how ISCs should be implemented. Enormous
flexibility when it comes to defining content, purpose, process,
geographical scope, audience and language. Attractive
layout and graphics. Easy to use and read. |
