The study circle programme started on 26thoct 1997, at 5.00pm to 7.00 pm.
The study circle members are as follows:
We started the session with the orientetion of theinternational study circle project, the study material and how it should be used.Each and every paticipant hadan oppotunity to go through the material and decide on how the material could be used.The participants introduced themselves and systematicaly went trough the course is very useful to them as workers since,it will give them an opportunity to understand more about TNC'S, and exchange their experinces internatinally.
SESSION ONE OUTLINE:Getting Started.
Activities
The game 'GLOBAL DETECTOR'
The paticipants took part in this game and they all agreed its true,whant the game explains is all what is happening arond the world, and the effects are not easily recognisedby anybody.This game gave the participants some ideas on the impct of the TNC'S to workers and the community.
after the introduction, participants went into two groups to discuss the following questions:-
1. What do you hope to get from the course?
2. what is expecteed from you ?
After a through brain-storming within the two groups the participants came up with the following responses:
Benefits from the course:-
(a) To know more about the effects of TNC'Sto workes and the community.
To know the safty of the products e.g
(b)Expect to get educational exchange programme and study visits to TNC'S.
(c)Know more about the TNC'S employment policies-equality of rights.
(d)To learn study circle methodology and technics as regards to I.S.C project.
(e)To exchange our expeiences and ideas with other international study circle members.
(f) To know the advertanges and disadventages of TNC'Sto workers and the community in developing.
(g)To know if there are regulations?policies gorverning the running of the TNC'S in the countries they operate.
(h) To know how and where TNC'S dispose their harzardous waste and whether the workers and the community are aware of the dangers.
(i) To know whether same of the languages used for information on the product packs is understandable by the consumers .
What is expected from the participants ?
(i) know more about the TNC'S e.g
