[Prepatory meeting] [Session1] [Session 2] [Session 3] [Session 4] [Session 5] [Session 6]

Hello other study circle members as of today we have a new member LIVINGSTON WALCOTT (Mr).He works in the Mininstry of Transport and Works as a Machinist. He is an animal Lover and also has hobbies of bee keeping.

Livingston is hoping to further his knowledge of globalisation and its impact on other countries.

EXPERIENCING GLOBALISATION IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

Having read the reports of some other groups, we concluded and are of the view that even though TNC'S are not of the same magnitude as those of other countries the problems are similar and the fallout if not watched or handled properly could lead to major problems such as disrepect for local legislation and culture, poor safety and health.

COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER MEMBERS

Members were generally of the view that the approaches in the various case studies were critical in organising against TNC's.

We think that international solidarity and utilising the internet to send protest messages is the way to go .Even though our experiences with TNC's are not on the same level as other countries we admire and are willing to help any way we can through programmes like "TO PICKET,: JUST CLICK IT".
