A. The countries around the Baltic Sea are very
keen to assist Estonia and the other two Baltic
countries to build up their infrastructure. We
asked our comrades in Estonia to what extent the
trade unions were involved in the planning of
those foreign investments. Do we have the same
situation in any of the other participating
groups?
B. Participation rates are often regarded as a
measure of strength of the trade unions. In Swe-
den this rate is around 75 %och the work force,
in France less than 20.Does it mean that the
French Trade Unions are so much weaker?
C. In Sweden the trade unions are very much
tied up with the Social Democratic Party. Are
there similar situations in other countries?
If yes, what are the advantages or disadvantages?
D. In our group we have touched upon article 23 of the Declara-
tion of Human Rights and found it to be of great
interest to anyone entering a discussion about the
TNC:s and their abuses of just that article. Why
is it not mentioned by other groups? Are we naive?
