Every four years about 1,500 ABF (WEA in Sweden) people gather at "Ordet Fritt" ("The Word Is Free"/"The Floor Is Open"). Voluntary adult educationalists from ABF nationally meet to learn new things and to take part in various activities. This year the event will take place from 17th – 19th June 1999 in Lulea, a town close to the Polar Circle and the Midnight Sun.

During the "Ordet Fritt" a number of seminars and cultural activities are arranged. There will also be international seminars, in which people from about 100 ABF international solidarity projects will participate.

On Saturday, 19th June 1999 the Euro-WEA Annual Conference will meet (information will be distributed by the Euro-WEA secretariat).
