College for Workers’ Education in Bulgaria

The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) is setting up a college for workers’ education. The main aims of the college are to provide workers’ education, organise seminars and strengthen collaboration with other workers’ education organisations in the Balkan region including Albania, Romania, Serbia and Macedonia. The college will also offer general adult education on civic issues such as democratic rights and procedure. "I hope that workers in the Balkan region will learn to understand their rights and strength, and begin to act upon them" said Plamen Dimitrov from CITUB.
