The IFWEA Online Learning Academy (OLA) underwent an upgrade in 2019, with the aim of creating a more accessible front page, for user-friendliness and easy navigation to courses.
In addition, the Moodle/OLA system was upgraded to 3.6. Moodle is an online Learning Management System enabling educators to create their own private website filled with courses that extend learning, anytime, anywhere. Educators and learners can track progress and completion of courses with an array of options for tracking individual activities or resources and at course level.
Some advantages of the Moodle 3.6 upgrade include:
User-friendly privacy settings
Building on the privacy features implemented in Moodle 3.5, the 3.6 upgrade comes with more customisable privacy settings.
Course overview: customisable display
Navigating through courses and assignments on the Dashboard is now easier. Participants can keep better track of deadlines and sort and filter them more easily.
The new group messaging feature enables participants to communicate within their group, and comes along with improved control over who can message you.
