Online Workers’ Education: Values, Methods and Curriculum Design for Trade Unions in Zambia is a course which provides an introduction to online workers’ education with a focus on values, methods and curriculum design. It was run in 2019. It is a practical course for participants from Zambian trade unions to experiment with participatory online activities and to explore how grassroots leaders can get involved in educational processes and activities. It includes a definition of Workers’ Education so that there is a shared understanding of what it is. There is discussion on why there is a need to continuously reflect on and improve the methods that are applied in education. It also contains a section on some of the issues raised within the SEWA Academy in India when they started to implement online workers’ education five years ago. The course included a lively forum on the fears and future hopes for online workers’ education in Zambia.
