The YGAP 2019 Postcard Project is an integral part of the overall YGAP programme. Every year the programme concludes with participants producing an educational intervention to take back to their organisations in the form of a multi-media postcard. Participants receive guidance on cultural sensitivity and media ethics before preparing their postcards. Each year there is a slightly different focus in the programme.
This year’s postcards reflected on the work/community placements where YGAP students spent three days and included a look at the Ocean View Youth Development programme, experiences at the Ilitha Labantu centre, and being at the grassroots-focused Ground Up media agency and Ekasi Project Green.
