This booklet takes a look at the conditions that women workers labour under on fruit farms in the Western Cape, South Africa, supplying the UK retails giant Tesco. While the retailers regularly announces large profits, the women workers face numerous challenges including poverty wages, exposure to pesticides, hunger, dismal housing and discrimination. The booklet exposes these conditions and makes recommendations to improve exploitative practices.
